Google Analytics E-commerce conversion for your hotel website

With the release of CloudHotelier 3.1.7 we have introduced the ability to track Google Analytics e-commerce conversions, every time a reservation is processed on your hotel website.

With this new feature you will be able to obtain the conversion reports using Google Analytics, amongst other useful information.

The first thing you need to do is to activate the e-commerce the E-commerce Settings for the website analytics account.

To do so, navigate to the “Admin” tab, and then select the property you want to activate e-commerce tracking. In the right column, click on the “E-commerce Settings” link.

Now you have to enable E-commerce, click on the “Status” switcher to “yes” position, then click on “Next Step” and finally on “Submit” button. That’s all you need to do to activate the e-commerce tracking.

In a few hours, if your website is processing reservations, you will be able to get e-commerce reports. To access them, navigate to Conversions => E-commerce => Overview in the bottom of the main analytics left navigation.

This is a basic conversion report, where you can see the daily conversions of your website, you can play to get other reports based on this metric. If your report is not similar to the one in the example, don’t worry, as it depends on the type of hotel and the number of available rooms. You may have less reservations than that!

However, in the periods of maximum number of reservations, a hotel website with CloudHotelier booking engine should get a conversion rate higher than 1%.
