Flat theme demo is online!

We are happy to announce that we are getting closer to the release of the new versions very soon.

The first theme demo Flat, is online, so you can check-it out!

We plan to release the fist public beta during this week, the whole new system is actually in private beta, we are still working on the documentation and bug fixing. Please note that the release of the first beta will be only for testing, so no documentation and support will be provided till the production-ready version is released.

CloudHotelier 2016 coming soon

We are developing the WHOLE system from scratch, applying all the knowledge and experience accumulated during the last 5 years.

We plan to launch the first beta version by the end of this month. A production ready release is espectied in Oct/Nov 2015. The new release will include a new version of Cloud Admin Panel (that we will call Cloud Admin Pro), and a new version of the website building suite:

  • New FREE hotel theme that we call FLAT
  • New version of JKit with uikit layouts
  • New version of the CloudHotelier Booking Engine Client

The new CloudHotelier Admin Pro panel will be open source, so it can be used as a normal Joomla extension (although you will continue to have the new product as managed Cloud service also).

The ubiquity of the large operators such as booking.com causes very pronounced specificities in the hotel industry. This can be a problem, but also an opportunity.

Better email delivery in Joomla using Mandrill

To avoid your website having problems with email delivery, you only need to change your Joomla configuration to use and external SMTP service

UPDATE: since Mandrill service is no longer available for a reasonable price, we now recommend to use Mailgun instead. Here's an updated post on how to use Mailgun with Joomla.

Having problems delivering email from your site? Bookings not arriving to your customers or hotels? If your email is getting bounced or it is delivered in the spam folder, your server IP may have been added to a spam black list.

  • Booking Email: re-added guest address. Some users require the guest email address in the confirmation email.
  • Mercadopago: solved issues with SSL version that appear to happen in some servers
  • Installer: updated compatibility version
  • Book form: incorrect payment amount when booking a pack, not a room.

No template updates are required with this version.
