I have 2 hotel websites currently using joomla templates, but looking to improve the look them with your modern template. However the booking system we currently use (Guestline/Roomlynx) requires to sit in an iframe on our sites. Can you advise if I am able to add a plugin or something to add iframe / wrapper to the template to accommodate this?

Hello Carol,
Thank you for your interest in CloudHotelier.
Iframe functionality is included in Joomla by default, so there's no need for an extra plugin. You can also use custom HTML code to include iframes in your modules or articles.
That said, I would like to ask you the reason you are not interested in our reservation system. I think that your approach is not correct, as iframes and redirects are not good for conversion rate.
I suppose you are happy with your current solution but I bet a 100% CloudHotelier website can significantly improve direct reservations for your hotels.
Also note that we already have an agreement with SiteMinder, wich is a leading Channel Manager provider, so in few weeks you will be covered to replace RoomLynx.
Tell me if you need any further information.
Kind Regards

Thanks Xavier
The reason we were not looking at your booking engine is that we use Rezlynx Property Management System from Guestline and we have found that they do not link to most 3rd party channel managers. If they were to look at Siteminder then we would need to do some investigations in to costs etc for this. At the moment the only costs we incur is a small % for each online booking made..
I am looking to trial the Modern Hotel Template to see if it fits our requirements to upgrade 2 of our websites. We have uploaded the files but there are no headers etc - is there a file explaining how to do all of this please...?
We would be hosting these websites on a server we currently use...?
Thank you
Carol

Hello Carol,
I understand you pay a commission for your own reservations, that's not very fair. I think a fixed monthly fee is the way to go, and probably not so expensive, unless you don't get enough direct reservations. That would be the worst scenario, as you'd be paying commission to booking.com and other OTAs.
About our templates, the recommended process is to download our theme-packs (not the stand alone templates) and follow our tutorials step by step. Tell me if you find any problems.

Of course, with CH you own your website and you can install it on your own servers.
Tell me if you need any further information
Kindest Regards
Xavier

Thanks Xavier
I'm currently signed up for a 30 day trial and was hoping to be able to load up the template to ensure it was fit for purpose prior to purchasing it. Is this not possible with the Modern Theme ?
We may look in to the cloud hotelier booking system later on if we can get the PMS link from Guestline...
At the moment my priority is to get the websites re-built so they are appealing and fully responsive..
Thanks
Carol
