New functionalities in CloudHotelier 2.7

• Implementing extras, packs and promos in booking view. Now your customers can implement up selling, and build better added value for their product. High-end or specialized accommodation companies will love this new features.
• My Booking view. This new view provides more confidence to users as they can access and print their voucher at any time directly on the website. In near future, we will also implement the ability to cancel and modify the reservation.
• New static resources: Offers and packs views and module. With this, hotel managers can define offers and packages in the Cloud Admin Panel, that will be directly displayed in the hotel website. This is a nice way to keep the website updated and creating value for your product.
• More comprehensive configuration options. We have refactored the configuration panel to allow new users to understand and configure the system.
• More refactoring and small changes: we have implemented a lot of code cleaning and added small features, like arrival time, display better contact form, better email voucher, a new payment platform integration (WorldPay), better search form and more comprehensive strings

How to upgrade to CloudHotelier 2.7

You can update your version with Joomla! extension manager as always. Some layout changes have been introduced, so your website design can be slightly affected. That’s why we are introducing new releases for our most popular templates, Pure, Elegante and Natura. If you are using one of this templates and you have not modified any CSS files, just upgrade your template using Joomla! extension manager.
If you have “hacked” on of our templates, or are using a custom template, some small CSS works may be needed. If you have hacked only a style folder from one of our templates, and not main CSS files, just replace template.css with new template.css from the updated template and you are good to go.

Note there’s no need to modify your template or do CSS works if you do not want to do so, CloudHotelier will work well with no further works needed, but you should be interested to fix some layout designs, just to improve user experience and make your site better. remember to always remember to refresh your browser cache after you upgrade.

The last major release in Joomla! 2.5 series

We are working hard to prepare CloudHotelier for Joomla! 3.5 series (that will be released in the beginning of 2014), Bootstrap and jQuery. We have stopped releasing templates in order to prepare all systems to this new technologies. In few weeks, we are going to release new templates based on Joomla! 2.5 series, Bootstrap and jQuery, this new templates will include tons of new things, like JKit, our new multi-language CCK. Exciting times are coming for CloudHotelier integrators and resellers!
