What is OCR scanner?
OCR scanner incorporated in CloudHotelier PMS is a quick and economic system that allows the reading of documents automatically in less than a second and without leaving the booking screen. To make this system work it is only necessary a webcam that is connected to a computer, a fact that supposes a minimum cost.
How does it work?
Its procedure is very simple, the host’s ID card, passport or driving license must be scanned through the webcam and the data obtained will be automatically digitized.
Why is it useful?
CloudHotelier PMS uses the OCR technology to generate customer registration data for the police, Spanish military police and Mossos d’Esquadra. It is also handy to automatically calculate the touristic tax and to do quick check-in without mistakes.
